Be Prepared: Iowa will play their best game tonight
As a Cyclone fan for over 30 years, I have prepared myself that Iowa is going to play their best game of the season tonight. That being said, I still think we have a chance to win. Keep Haluska in the 20 point range and not 30 point range and keep Smith to 15 or under and I think we will win. Iowa plays really good man to man defense, and that may bother us at times. But, keep their transistion game to a minimum and make Freeman and Gorney beat you not Smith and Haluska.

Yeah, I'll second that hursts. My guess is that someone like Gorney goes off for 25 pts, 10 rebounds or JR Angle dumps in 6 three pointers. I also have a hunch the foul descrepancy Iowa experienced against UNI will not happen again. We're going to be hand checked, bodied and bumped all night w/o the benefit of a whistle. The worst part is that I live in eastern Iowa and will be forced to listen to McCausland kiss Alford's rear while taking repeated swipes at ISU. Ugh!
Re: Be Prepared: Iowa will play their best game tonight
Best game possible or best of the season? B/c their best of the season still hasn't been that good. That being said, if Haluska gets 25 we will lose by 15. He won't and we won't. If Angle even scores I will be ******. I have met this kid and played pick up games with him and he stinks. Flat out stinks
Re: Be Prepared: Iowa will play their best game tonight
I don't think Gorney will do anything of note. He took lots of shots against UNI and most were not smart ones. He'll be reigned in tighter, I'd bet. If any "unknown" player has a good night, I'd say it'll be either Justin Johnson or Freeman, if you can consider him in that category.
I look for Iowa to play their best game for about 35 minutes. Then their Depends will start to soak through and it'll be a repeat of their UNI collapse. Right down their legs....
