    Re: Wrestling vs. Minnesota Tonight

some one please correct me if I wrong, but isn't the wrestling team extremely young as well? With the results they've had already, they'll probably do great in the Tournaments, and wow will they be an unstoppable force by the next year.

I know they have four freshmen starting. Cael had the #1 recruiting class in the nation. When Cael Sanderson stops by a kids house for supper, they are going to listen to what he has to say.

    For reference, a six-point loss...

Still good to hear that we went toe to toe with the number 1 team in the NCAA

Had Turner won, you could speculate the dual would have ended 16-16...assuming that Konrad wouldn't have gotten a technical fall or pin to win it.

Actually, six of the ten starters are freshmen.

Here is the team roster, including biographies, at cyclones.com:
    http://www.cyclones.com/SportSelect....48&SPSID=46635

    The six starting freshmen are:

    Nick Fanthorpe, 125
    Nick Gallick, 133
    Mitch Mueller, 141
    Cyler Sanderson, 149
    Jake Varner, 184
    Dave Zabriskie, hwt

    Last year’s top recruits were:

    Mark Kist, 125
    T.J. Sebolt, 141
    Jonathan Reader, 165

All are redshirting this year. Sebolt has one of the best Iowa high school records ever, and Reader was one of the very top recruits nationally. Sorry if I left anyone out.

Cael also gave a scholarship to Mitch Artist out of Glenwood. Guy is solid but might not crack the lineup anytime soon.

Man, if Turner could have pulled that out!
