NFL ROY
On the Da Bears thread someone mentioned Hester for ROY. I think he's 5th place at best, but who do you think wins ROY?
I think a lot of the spelling of the names is poor, but roll with it.

Re: NFL ROY
The number one pick was Mario, not Demario.

Any mods around that can edit a poll, its not letting me do it.
Add Addai
Demario -> Mario
Marcus -> Marques
Deven -> Devin
DeMarco -> DeMeco
wow, I blew that one, must be getting late

Re: NFL ROY
I say Colsten or Jones-Drew because they have been carrying my fantasy team this year.
Boom.....transfer the karma -
Re: NFL ROY
Colston had an awesome year, but there are other rookies who performed very well too
-
Re: NFL ROY
Anybody into fantasy football knows that Colston had the best year. He became one of the more consistent WR options, and thanks to a Yahoo! mistake he was dual TE as well.
I wouldn't be surprised if Hester won it though.

Re: NFL ROY
Young has been impressive, as well as Hester, Leinart has had his moments, and Jones-Drew had a monster game on Sunday...but I'm surprised I'm only the 2nd person who has voted for Reggie Bush.
Then again, I'm no NFL expert (just check my weekly NFL pool at work)

Re: NFL ROY
For all the hype surrounding Reggie, he was crap this year until these last two games. He'll end up being one of the best receiving rb's in the league, if not THE best....but he was nothing special this year.
-
Re: NFL ROY
Hester is obviously more explosive/athletic.. but I'm ok with Young winning. (which he probably will) You have to be impressed with someone who can start at qb as a rookie and have a winning record.. theres no position with a bigger adjustment to make in the pros.

Re: NFL ROY
Colston will, and should, win.
He'll finish with over 1000 yards receiving and at least 7 TD's. And he's missed 2-3 games.

I've got a stable of running backs - Larry Johnson, Westbrook, and Gore. Along with Steve Smith, Plaxico Burress, and Colston at WR (although I use Colston alot at TE instead of Gonzales).
Jones-Drew went off for BIG points last week. Thank God I was on a bye or I probably would have gotten beat - not a good week for my offense.

Re: NFL ROY
DeMeco Ryans: 127 tackles (leads the NFL), 3.5 sacks
Brian Urlacher: 116 tackles, 0.0 sacks
Zach Thomas: 123 tackles, 3.0 sacks
This kid was their 2nd round pick and has better stats than any other linebacker in the league (and their first rounder). Best rookie you've never heard of, playing defense for the Texans is the kiss of death for a rookie.

Reason: I said he was undrafted, I was wrong he's a 2nd rounder

Re: NFL ROY
Demeco Ryans is not an "undrafted rookie" he was a second round pick who played on one of the best defenses in the country last year

ESPN.com lists him as "undrafted" http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/player...e?statsId=7782
point remains he is a relative unknown - except of course by you and other Alabama fans - doing amazing, though normally unmentioned things for a rookie.
