With just the player's side in the open, Brian Hildebrand is leaving Nebraska. He claims he "walked on" in the fall with a representation that he would get a scholarship for spring. The scholarship is not coming and he's been advised to leave. Could be disappointment on the kid's part, but, Nebraska radio talk is suggesting back peddling on the offer since NU got Sam Keller, a transfer from Arizona State a few days after Hildebrand.
If NU doesn't even want him on the depth chart, he may not be of interest to ISU. He would only have one year to play after sitting out a year. I can understand his disappointment if he came expecting a 'ship as he limited his college career and education.
“We’ve got a pretty good football conference, and we’ve got a pretty good conference overall. We’re still walking around with our heads held high and our chest out, about that.” Paul Rhoads
he came on because they needed another QB because the backups they had sucked, it just happened that they were able to get Keller a few days later and his future was sort of doomed. It happens, sometimes **** happens!
