ISU week in DM

Any reports on how ISU week is going in Des Moines. Hopefully it ends well with the games on Saturday. DM is a key market for ISU athletics to tap into, it needs to be a cyclone city.

While walking through the skywalk today I was thinking that the Cyclone Club should set up something in the downtown area. Those 65K people that work downtown probably have the highest per capita income in the state and I bet a lot of them would be willing to write a check on the spot. Des Moines is key to ISU.

As a side note, a few companies downtown will match your contributions to the cyclone club. Paying $500 a year to get $1,000 privileges would be nice.

From my observations, the colleges do very little to work with the big businesses in Iowa. The first one to step up is probably going to get good results. The politicians are always holding town hall meetings at these companies, I'd much rather go and see Chizik speak.
