    Stupid Central Iowa NFL Coverage.

    I want to watch my Packers but in Ames all we got is the Vikes and the Bears. CRAP. Wish I was back in NE IA right now.

    Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

    ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

    Yeah, there's to big of a division here in Iowa... you'll get Vikes, Bears, Pack, Rams, Chiefs. Your only hope is Sunday Ticket on Direct TV. I've never been lucky enough to have that though.

    Sometimes you can get games that are streamed by people with a TV tuner.
    A list of NFL games streamed is here (sorry, no game for Packers fans this week):

    The main client I use is:
    SOPCast: http://www.sopcast.org/download/
    but there is also TVUPlayer and TVants

    I also find it works better with the VLC media player
    Download VLC http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ and install it, Then Start the Sopcast stream for the game. Then let it buffer for a bit, then Start VLC --> Open network stream --> paste http://127.0.0.1:8902/tv.asf , press ok


    It sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, and it often isn't the greatest quality, but it is better than nothing.

    I ended up going to Wallaby's and that is where I will be going from now on. We sat in a booth with its own little TV and could change the channel to any and every sinlge game that was going on!!!

    Even if you were in NE Iowa you would have missed the Packers game. Vikings and Bears game were covered up here.

    Im not trying to diss anyones team or anything here...but Iowa gets to see the worst division in football play every week.
