Has anyone heard anything about Alvin Bowen leaving the team? That seems to be the rumor...
the fact that he's going to be a senior next year seems to contradict that, he'd have to go down a level just to play another down in his collegiate career
Yeah, that rumor seems much less likely than McKenzie leaving, especially considering how well he did for ISU last year...
The only rumor I've heard is he has talked about the NFL...but it's a rumor that it's being considered at best.
That Bowen rumor is about as much fact as us firing Coach Chizik before his first game.
Where did you hear this rumor?? Only place I have seen it is on the PAID message board at another site. I don't think info/rumors from paid sites should be posted here.
I think it would benifit Bowen to stick around another year. He did have a good year last season, but his stock value still inst very high. If he has another year like last, he may come close to All-American honorable mention, and help his value.
I think it is just coincidence of the other boards posting the same rumor. Heck, I have been talking about this with friends for a few weeks now. Lets not start up a dispute of who got what where.
Bowen isn't good enough to go pro right now, he may think he is though. Bowen and McKenzie are pretty cocky and even made some facebook groups proclaiming themselves the best there is.
probably is demoralized on the loss of his strength coach.
Bowen would be a safety in the NFL unless he put on about 20 pounds. There are safeties in the NFL that weigh more than him.

I don't know what paid site it is on. I was talking to a friend in Ames over the weekend and he siad he had heard it and was wondering if I had heard anything about it. But since you just confirmed that there is a rumor....
I guess YOU posted the paid site info....
I started that "rumor" but said from the start it is a RUMOR and that it was a possible speculation from a teammate I talked to last week. There has been no factual evidence of this whatsoever, so please take it as face value until you hear more.

If they are paying money to read posted rumors, I see little harm in mentioning here? It is a rumor and not a breaking story.
It should be possible for all, including free, to see rumors on paid boards without getting in a tizzy. Folks, these are rumors that may or may not happen. Like a big story that never breaks. Hey, if we posted a free rumor on this board, the paid board might take up the gauntlet and run.
