TCU's Gary Patterson - Interesting Guy

Just an interesting article about Gary Patterson as the Chicago Tribune previews the NIU-TCU game. A small mention of Patterson not being interested in the ISU job. (Not sure he would have caused the excitment generated by the hiring of Coach Chizik anyway). Just thought this was an intersting read:

Was he considered, or even interviewed?

I don't remember any coach whinning about NOT getting a job. They never seem to have any interest once they weren't the one hired.

Chizik wouldn't have been interested either if he wasn't the one JP selected.

Thats correct. Only Norvell was dumb enough to say "I really want the job".

Coach are always not interested unless they are hired.
