we still need a middle linebacker, McKenzie is a true outside linebacker, if we can get a true middle linebacker we would be set at linebacker with Banks rotating in every once and awhile for pass coverage and such, I think this would maximize our defense. I think we will see quite a bit of players moving around, that is my guess, we are way tooooo undersized!!!
So far this is what I see as a rotation perhaps
DE-Tate and Braaksma
DT-Rubin and Bailey Johnson
NG-Frere and Stephon Dale
DE-Taylor and Parker
SLB-McKenzie or Carper or Banks, we need to allow McKenzie to play more free, he is a good middle linebacker, but could be an even better outside linebacker, his true position had Robertson not been screwed
MLB-? or McKenzie
CB-Williams or McDowell
SS-I would say Banks or Carper are more suited to be run stopping safeties and not linebackers, maybe will work out in a new scheme
FS-James Smith, I would say Jason Harris but I sort of still think he might be a running back, we shall see what Mr. Chizik decides
I like the O-Linemen, not huge, which is good, but a little quicker, I like that Dedrick was 230 pounds coming out of High School and has upped himself to 280 and kept pretty good speed, under 4.9, he hasn't been offered by many big programs, but seems to be pretty good. I wish I knew Tate's 40 time, seems to have good talent and played at Arkansas, so he obviously is a good talent.
What other schools showed interest in him?I can't get the link to open. What leads you to lead he's pretty good or has good talent? I looked him up on rivals and didn't find anything at all. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.
