We invested a scholarship and must give him playing time. Since he came back, we have not had much luck. Looks like he is making several stupid positioning mistakes. They could have rang him up for 2 more fouls.
He is terrible. I will pay his way through school if he does NOT play anymore.
Because Cory is a freshman and slightly undersized, Ross has mono, and Jessan has a broken snoz. Mark my words, he will play less and less as Cory develops and the other two become available, and next to not at all next year when Brackins and Thompson are available.
Cory earned his playing time tonight...that much is for sure.
If he can hold his own vs. Oden...he can do well in the Big 12. We learned a lot about our #31 tonight.
He's not, really.
How much did he play in the second half? 3 minutes or so?
he has a pulse.....? :baffled5wh:
I'm impressed with Cory also. He held his own for the most part
I see his minutes decreasing, the only way that he can be even remotely effective is if he is making shots. And he mentally appears to be so out of any flow that any shot he makes is almost a fluke.
Most players figure out that if your shot isn't falling, you focus on other parts of the game. Jiri seems to be the exception to that rule, because he is hurting us defensively, worse than he is offensively.
For some reason, bad things happen when Hubalek is on the floor.
Yes, bad things happen when he is on the floor. Enough said. Him or the chemistry or both. Doesn't matter. I say sit him and live with the results.
I thought Jiri had a chance to improve under Gmac but I just don't see it happening. He doesn't attack the basket, he shoots it whenever he gets it and he doesn't play defense. I started not liking Jiri during the Iowa game where he played no defense and shot around 15 shots. Thank god CJ has developed and Marsden is getting heathly but hopefully CJ will get most of the minutes the rest of the year. Imagine how good CJ will be when he's a senior.
Juri will get very few minutes unless we have foul trouble. He doesn't have the benefit of the strong supporting cast and it shows. I don't see him playing next year.
who were the starters tonight?
Jiri needs to stop shooting three pointers especially when air balling them. I'm surprised he didn't get yanked after that.
