The RB from Sioux City?

Just wondering if the RB from Sioux City is on Chizik's radar?

Re: The RB from Sioux City?

Hes got some speed, maybe a move to cornerback would be nice, but does not have D1 size (for a running back).

Right now we need running backs. If I count, I see 2 in camp, all of which can be pushed.

Re: The RB from Sioux City?

Nebraska is in the market for a fullback like Todd Peterson, the last of Frank Solich fullbacks. He was 5-10, 235 and was recognized by Big 12 awards after being in on only 40% of the plays. Do we have a fullback after Kochster leaves?

Troy Davis was only 5'7" Wt. 191, so I think if you get this kid in the weight room I think he could be big enough for D1 potential.

Garrett Wolf of N Illinios is even smaller at 5'7'' and 177lbs, but probably more athletic and talented. i think Canandy has enough D1 potential.

Looks to me like all he needs is weight and strength which isnt hard to do once you get him in ames and in the weight room. red shirt him for one year and 25-35 lbs is easily attainable before he would see any action on the field.

It's not a bad thing to be short as a RB - you can hide behind the O-line that way. look at Barry Sanders, LT, Warrick Dunn, and Tiki Barber.

My Roman Villas:
Friley-Godfrey (-66|126)
Helser-Woodrow (-61|122)
Roberts-Harriman (-74|133)
Welch-Ayres (-73|133)

Mansfield was a tough wrestler as well. I'd love to see him get reps at fullback.
