What are the odds that we play as well against SE Mizzou St. as we did for 3/4 of the game vs. OSU? I am really hoping for these guys to use the last 5 mins of the OSU game as motivation and come out on all cylinders. If we can play like that in confrence, then I think we have a legit shot to make some noise this season.:Sheriff:

I hate to say it, but I really don't see us showing up for this game the way we did for OSU. It is just too hard to get up for this one in the same way. However, even though we have lost the last couple we have really grown as a team in the process. I think we will see a solid outing from the team, just not quite up to that level.
I think the OSU game definately gives some much needed hope for our chances of making a little noise in the conference season. I still feel .500 or better would be completely amazing, but the hope of such a thing burns a little brighter now than it did a couple weeks ago.

We'd better put our foot on their throat and not let up for 40 minutes. Check the squaks against GA State last night. They suck, but a trouncing like that can give a taste of success in a dominating fashon. We should do the same.

What kind of team does SEMS have? They're Valley, so probably not terrible. Anyone have any insight?

It would appear they are not very good. They are 3-9 over all and have lost 4 straight, none to big conference teams.

My bad. For some reason, I assumed that all four directional Missouri schools were in the Valley. I guess I was partly right, I just left out Ohio. In fact, only SWMS, now MO St is in the MO Valley, correct?

SEMS would appear to be a really bad team.
They lost by 25 to Drake, 40 to Arkansas.
On the season they are shooting 40% from the first 57% from the line and < 30% from 3. They also have a 1/1.5 assist/TO ratio. They turn the ball over 18 times a game.
Their wins have been again Alaska-Fairbacks (by 3), UC Riverside (by 3) and Tennessee-Martin (by 2).
Simply put, we should win this game by 20.

We should smoke them like any other directional school. Even worse - they are multidirectional.

Not to nitpick, but I personally think that this whole "directional schools always suck" school of thought should be abolished just the same way that the silly argument "Mid-major schools are always terrible".
Don't forget that the directional school here in Iowa is the best team in the state so far.

I heard a rumor that SEMS's uniforms are overalls and that they wear straw hats on the court. Is that true? Also heard that they chew a lot of tobacco and bring spitoons into the huddle.
If it's true, I think staw hats could cause a problem for our team since they haven't seen that before. And the guys that mop up the floor during breaks will be busy.

Don't worry, Cy usually helps with the mopping.
