Baby Name
My cousin in Northwest Iowa (Sioux Rapids) had a Baby boy last night. He named him Kinnick I should send him a Buckeye Rattle for the kid to wave in his face.

Ew, that is unfortunate. I know a girl that named her daughter Kinnick. Dogs, I understand, but children? That's extreme.

Re: Baby Name
You need to name a future child Trice to even it out.

Re: Baby Name
The way they are setting up his future, they should have just as well named him Elizabeth, Virginia, or Sue. Poor kid don't have no hope now.

Re: Baby Name
Funny you should say that. My wife and I are expecting at the end of May, and I already told him that little Jack Trice is on the way, or maybe Hilton will be around to play with his cousin Kinnik.
*note: I love the cyclones, but I am smart enought not to name my second child after a stadium.

Re: Baby Name
People that come up with names that bad, hopefully will stop reproducing. I love the Cyclones, but I would not go that far. We have Husker fans in our family that are that extreme and they are the butt of all our jokes.

Re: Baby Name
I know this sounds bad, but does anybody else think it's a bad omen that Iowa's stadium is named after a Heisman Trophy winner and ours is named after a player who died on the field?

Re: Baby Name
That's not true, I am sure there have been a few music concerts there that have sold out.

I wrote a humorous editorial that I sent to the ISU Daily about that very thing when I was at ISU. It ran in the paper two different times that I know.
I wished I would have saved it.
