With Deace re-taking over at CN, there has been a lot of people sounding off.
The poll is simple, do you like listening to Deace?
Personally, I think Deace is great. I loved listening to him on 1460 and also enjoy listening to him on the Mothership.
He seems to rub people the wrong way...maybe it's because of his political views, maybe it's because he is a Michigan fan. IMO, there are not many other media people who have promoted Cyclone Athletics more than Deace.

Agree or disagree with his politics, he is still entertaining to listen to. Muck Fichigan, and I don't really like the fact that Jim Zabel gives updates on Cyclone athletics during the show, like he knows or cares about anything, but overall its a good listen.

I have not heard him on the "Mother Ship" (Never tune into the enemy's channel) Does his show sound anything like the old show?

Deace was ok but there were times he'd get on his religous or political high horse and just sound like an idiot. He can do that more now on WHO since he's more talk-radio now.
Deace can be a little hypocritical at times but the funniest thing I ever heard him say was a few years back when he read an email from someone completely bashing him about being fat. Deace used some good dry-humor and the last thing he said about it was something like "you know what, just to spite you I'm going to stop by Burger King tonight on the way home and get a big greasy burger and fries. You know what, I think I'll get 2 burgers and King size it actually just because I CAN! and I know it'll pi$$ you off even more!" I about had to pull over because I was laughing so hard!

Well, problem with his new show is all the damn commercials. He only talks for 22 minutes per hour, the rest is commercials, traffic reports and Hawkeye propaganda from Miller.
I listen as much as I can, but I don't sit around and wait out the commercial breaks. In my 25 minute commute, I may only hear him talk about 6 minutes or so.

I've never listened to him on WHO, but i've heard from other people that the show is loaded with commercials, news, weather, sports, traffic, and hog reports.
Other than for the moral preaching, I didn't mind Deace on The Jock, Big Ticket and KXNO. The guy knows his college and pro football.

I WOULD RATHER LISTEN TO A MICHIGAN FAN THAN LISTEN TO JOHN MILLER ACT LIKE HE CARES ABOUT ISU WHEN HE COULD CARE LESS. HE TRIES TO BELITTLE ISU EVERY CHANCE HE GETS.

Anyone who actively cheers against Iowa can't be all bad.

Also if you listen to his show, at least a couple times and definitely to end his show, he leaves the airwaves by saying "and remember, fat people are harder to kidnap" which is hilarious.
I go in phases when it comes to Deace. Like his commentary one week, don't really care the next and don't want nothing to do with it another week. I think all in all, he is a good host of a show and is a good person, it's just that he can go overboard sometimes.
Mixing it up with Zabel reporting Cyclone stuff just ticks me off but I've raved about the Drunk piece of crap enough so I should just zip it once.

His show from 3-6 was my favorite radio show of all-time, local or national. Probably helps that I agree with all of his political/religious banter...

I have enjoyed listen to Deace "grow up". I really think that he has become a Very Good radio host over the years. When on the JOCK, he would says alot just to get people talking. I think that most local (not just DM local) radio people do that, mainly because lack of talent. Deace, I feel, has growen into a radio host that can bring real content without have to just pi** off half the listeners.
As for his web site, I don't know anything about any web sites. The only site I check daily (almost) is here. So I couldn't say anything about CN one way or the other.

I much prefer Deace on the radio over him in the written word. He can come off as over-bearing, snide and "I have more info than you and ain't sharing" when he writes.
I have always appreciated his vast knowledge and experience in sports. He has established good sources and knows what he's talking about.
I just wish he would present some of his ideas in a different way that is better received by his listeners/readers. Chris & Brent went above and beyond to meet the requests of the members - answering any questions, etc. - even if they were insane. Deace just doesn't seem to have that in him.
I find his radio personality to be by far his best quality. He can be a real treat to listen to.

I see Deace as this- He is a Michigan fan and they play Iowa, hence big ten, Therefor any team that plays Iowa and beats them makes the Michigan team look that much better. Why would he go against Iowa State since they play Iowa who is in the big 10? He would not. He knows that Iowa State is the rival of Iowa and with him being a Michigan fan that all makes the bragging so much better. what worries me is Jon Miller who roots for Iowa and he is from Southern Illinois. He has no immediate ties or even any reason to, but yet states nothing about SIU home of the Salukies which is his alma mater.
