I feel that I can cheer for most any team in the Big XII other than Colorado. I guess they are and always will be a bunch of thugs in my mind.
DING DING DING! We have a winner! Yeah, I can't stand Colorado, and I've said it probably 10 times on this website.
As for the guys who said that Oklahoma fans were snobby... you're right. Very fun pregame, class program, but man those fans are ridiculous. My father-in-law grew up in OK, so I have been seeing a game down there every year for about the last five years. At first it was just a little amusing, but I didn't think such an arrogant bunch existed. I also really enjoyed a game in Lincoln. I can't stand their fans when I encounter them in Iowa, but the fans at the game were great.
But my favorite Big 12 teams other than us are probably Texas and Texas A&M. I've always like A&M, they seem like an underdog to Texas and they have an outstanding fanbase. And I've just had way too much fun partying in Austin to not have Texas on the list.
interesting enough...the worst fans I have encountered in 15 years of going to games was Northern Illinois in Ames a couple of years ago...we were down at halftime if you remember...and the amount of trash their fans were dishing was epic...until we came back and hammered them. It was so bad that I almost ended up in a fracas while getting nachos for god-sakes...and I haven't been in a tussle since I fought a kid in the 80's over a classic argument...A-Team or Knight Rider!
