If an NFL game is played and nobody sees it, did it really happen?
Thursday
Vikings vs. Packers Tonight
Chiefs vs. Raiders
Gooooooooooo NFL Network!
At least, these two games are most likely going to be meaningless in the grand scheme of the 2006 season. Both the Packers and Chiefs have play-off hopes - but they're very slim and in need of significant outside help.

I like the games on NFL network, they are guaranteed to be in HD!

But they're also guaranteed to have Bryant Gumbel attempting to do the play by play. Uck.

I couldn't agree more about Bryant Gumbel. Not only is this guy a total ###hole, but has he ever watched a football game in his life??
Last night the Chiefs failed to convert on 3rd and 15 and Gumbel says "The Chiefs have turned the ball over on downs" WTF!?!?!? The Chiefs tried a field goal and missed, THEN the ball was turned over.
It is true the fatter Gumbel is the better Gumbel.

Gooooooooooo NFL Network! This is the exact reason that the new Flex scheduling on NBC is great! I don't think MNF would have died if they had this option...

In a country of 300 million people. When 5 million fans watch the nfl network....Well...One would surmise that the nfl has got a bit of a problem.

Are you guys saying Gumbel is a Gumbie? Maybe his support staff is non existent at NFL Network. Seems ot me they have had some bad weather for their games also. Maybe most of the game will go to the cable channnel in 10 years.
One thing about the NFL network games, you can actually see more games if you want by going to the sportsbar.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

I have dish network, and the NFL network kicks butt. Eventually everyone will have it, I guarantee it. I watch it more during the offseason because it always have something football related on. -

I get the NFL network on my cell phone, but to be honest the screen is so small it is not really watching.

The NFL network is doing exactly what they need to do. If you don't get the network, and a game you want to see is only on there, you will call your cable provider. If enough people do this, the NFL network will take off. At least it is not another home shopping network on DirecTV.

I was e-mailing Mediacom every day during the summer and early part of the season asking for NFL Network, eventually gave up. My dish buyback period is expiring with Mediacom and i'm looking into returning (long story why I gave the dish up to begin with).
