Chizik's Staff
Just wondering, has Chizik assembled his entire staff?
Every now and then, you would see little snippets in the Register announcing a hire. Will Chizik have a press conference to formally introduce the staff?

Re: Chizik's Staff
He's hired the evil henchman arbitrarily turning knobs, making it seem like he's doing something from Austin Powers in Goldmember...
As his special teams coach.
Callahan was interviewed but was not offered the position.

yes, a formal annoucement and/or list would be nice.

Re: Chizik's Staff
IMHO - There will certainly be a strength and conditioning hire. The opinion on this board is that the OC will handle OL. I would expect a separate Running Backs coach. Special Teams and Tight Ends might also be separate guys or could be combined with other positions. He has a secondary coach - is that cornerbacks and safeties?
Since there has been silence on this for a couple of weeks, I hope the hires are from the NFL or college bowl teams, either of which would be a recruiting plus.

Chizik on the Radio
In a interview on KXNO, GC said he was in no hurry to hire his remaining assistant coaches. He mentioned that some of the coaches he was considering were still coaching bowl teams. He also mentioned that he wasn't in a hurry since it is a recruiting dead period until sometime in early January. Then there are only 3 weeks to recruit before a dead period before the Feb. signing date.
My impression from the interview was he was comfortable that the staff in place could handle this year's recruiting.
The other thing to remember, if a coach at another college is coming to ISU as a lateral move, he might not be released from his prior school until after the signing date.

60K for Graduate Assistants!!! WOW, I'm in the wrong racket! If that is true, the world is truly off its frigg'in rocker!
