Adam Carper

I heard over Christmas break a rumor that Adam Carper is transferring to Northwest Missouri State. Northwest has been national runner-up in Division II the last 2 years and won back-to-back titles in '98 and '99. Northwest is close to Clarinda, Adam's hometown. Anyone else heard anything about him leaving the Cyclone program?

He would have to be pretty dumb to do that. If he doesn't want to play for one of the great defensive minds in college football, I don't know what to tell him.

Not to pour salt in an old wound, but that argument doesn't fly with me as Coach Mac was considered one of the top Defensive coaches in the country when he came to ISU, and just one year ago our defense was considered one of the best in the Big 12 and the country. Inconsistent offense really has been our weak point for a long time.

Adams a darn good player and hope he stays.

there are rumblings that his knee possibly may be worse than thought before, i dont know if this has any bearing on it but maybe he is giving up football and just wants to be close to home to finish school. this is all speculation on my part.

I guarantee you guys that Carps will be suited up in a Cyclone uniform next season. He's fighting a battle with his knee right now, but he's got as much heart as Rocky Balboa...that's the 25 year old Rocky, not the 60 year old. Just trust me, he's not leaving Iowa State.

What about Tyrone McKenzie? I heard it's not for sure yet if he is staying or going and he has to decide by next week.

I think it's great that you GUARANTEE that Carper will be back and IT IS! but nobody and i mean NOBODY has any where near as much heart as Rocky Balboa! They made 6 movies after the guy!!!! How many movies does Adam Carper have out? Maybe after 4 movies then we'll begin to compare but as of right now nobody has as much heart as the Itallian Stallion!

Thanks Chris - I'll bet Carp is laughing at these rumors between grimaces at therapy appointments. How's his progress coming along? The ACL/MCL is a horrible injury to recover from.

My roommate is really goodfriends with him and he talked to him about a month and a half a go and he said he was to be off the crutches in mid december. So I dont think its that bad

Adams Family is in Clarinda, its not like hes a long ways from home being in Ames? So that didnt even make sense, TMac is down in florida trying to decide if he should come back or not..... its a hit or miss deal for us, im saying 50/50, he is haveing a hard time deciding

No actually there was a Rocky V. It was terrible. It dealt with him having problems with head injuries from blocking punches with his head. I think he also was a trainer. Not sure. Rocky Balboa then makes six. Not trying to be a jerk about this, but....

I hope both McKenzie and Carper stay. I think alot of people are forgetting about Jon Banks who once he moved to linebacker, did what I thought was a nice job for us.
