As a veteran of both Gulf Wars, I couldn't agree more!
You can call me the same if need be or even worse if you like but that is good news! I read it online last night and it put a smile on my face. This is a huge victory for the US, the new Iraq, and all of the U.S. military.Quote:

Oops, I guess WE gave him the gas (we have the receipts) and during the gassing, Rumsfeld was actually in Baghdad advising Hussein (there are photos of him shaking Hussein's hands). Of course, he was a former CIA operative as well.
I am also a veteran of the first Gulf War and lost close friends there, before anyone goes around labeling me as unpatriotic.
I'm not as concerned with what atrocities Hussein committed in the past (and he undoubtedly did) as I am re: the effect of his execution on the level of violence and the deaths of our brave soldiers as a result of the escalation. Life in prison, especially in an Iraqi prison, may actually be worse than hanging in many ways, and actually better for our troops and our attempt to stabilize Iraq.
i think someone needs to put this thing on pay per view. that would be sweet.
