We have had many posts stating that the Big eleven receives better bowls do to their conference allignments. This brings initial recognizition and definiately more money. However, in an unbiased question does this in the long run hurt their image as a power conference when they are underdogs in most of the games? The old perception of the big 2 little 8 seems to still be present. Should a 6-6 Iowa face a 9-3 Texas? This example goes on down the line up and this could be a reason why they are winless so far in the bowls.
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.
Nope, Iowa shouldn't even be in a bowl game. Now all day long we gotta hear Tate this Tate that...... uggg, if TaterTot is so great why are they not in a BCS game??? Answer me that ESPN crew!
That is exactly what I am getting at. Kansas was 6-6 and didn't make a bowl game. If they were in the Big 10 they probably would have. Does this help or hurt the conference?

Like you said, they still get the exposer and the money. If they (the big11) continue to get beat up in their bowl games I would say it will hurt them. However if they string off a run of upsets it will probably do wonders for recruiting and exposer.
