If you were...
...Nick Saban, do you take the Alabama job?
...Atlanta Falcons owner, do you fire Jim Mora Jr?
...Bob Stoops, are you embarassed with the Boise State loss?
...Lovie Smith, do you stick with Rex Grossman as your QB for the playoffs?
...Brett Favre, do you retire?
...Gene Chizik, what are your realistic expectations for your Iowa State team in 2007?
-
Re: If you were...
Nick Saban - No, I stay with Miami
Falcons owner - No, I don't fire Mora. He has no receivers to catch passes from an average throwing NFL QB.
Bob Stoops - Yes, I am embarassed. Only because I'm the first "major" power to get beat by a non-BCS school. It will happen in the future but I'm still the first.
Lovie Smith - Yes, I stick with Grossman. I wouldn't be hesitant to pull him in if has a 1st half like he did against Green Bay
Brett Favre - No, my team is improving and I proved I'm still a better than average NFL QB.
Gene Chizik - My realistic expectations are to win 5 or 6 games next year.

I think Mora was fired, wasn't he?

Re: If you were...
As far as Saban goes, I don't think Alabama is a good idea. If all he wants to do is coach SEC football, he shouldn't have gone pro in the first place. LSU is in much better shape, and he was already a legend there.

-keep Yeah, but OU is the first "major" program to get beat...Pitt was ranked in the 20s when Utah beat them.
I should have phrased the Falcons questions "Would you have fired JM"

Re: If you were...
I think Saban makes 15 mill over the next 3 with the Phins.
Talk is Alabama could offer 40-50 mill in a long term contract, I would think that would be a great choice considering the life expectancy of nfl jobs.
Good luck to Lovie - you HAVE to live with Grossman now, should've switched to Greise about 5 games ago.

...Gene Chizik, what are your realistic expectations for your Iowa State team in 2007? Nick Saban- I go where my heart lies
Falcons owner - Why not fire him, its the thing to do when you're team doesn't make the playoffs
Stoops - very embarrassed and I deserve it after trying to run the score up against iowa state by leaving peterson in late in the game to score a long TD
Love Smith - I'm going with Griese
Favre - I still have the rocket arm, so why not go for more records
Gene Chizik - to have a winning season

Re: If you were...
If I'm Saban, I go with whatever I enjoy doing most. Neither place will get you loyalty, just loads of cash. I don't think I would fire Mora. The NFL is about players. He needs more. If I were Bob Stoops, I would be an egotistical jacka$$, and I would be embarrassed. However, Boise is for real. Griese is the better of two bad options. Brett Favre should either retire, or swallow his pride and start being a mentor to his backups. Chizik.....bowl game, ANY bowl game would be a realistic goal, though coming up just short would be too. -

On a side note, John Clayton is reporting that Matt Millen will keep the GM job for Detroit. Could this guy get fired if he tried? Is he trying?

Don't forget Martz is there now so it could really get ridiculous, maybe they will trade down and get two receivers later in the first round? I would guess they take Jamarcus Russell or Brady Quinn, but who knows?

Re: If you were...
its hilarious, in a very sad way, that the Lions reciever with the most catches in 2006 was Mike Furrey. former cornerback turned receiver out of N Iowa, was he even drafted?

THAT, is the most humorous thing of this entire ordeal. Didn't someone other than one of their 100 first round WR picks lead them in receptions and/or yards last year too?
