07 Recruiting Question for Jeremy

I know that when we were going after McFarland and Stinnett there was talk of being able to get both of them even though it seemed as if there was only one scholarship available. Since then we have signed Boozer, but I was wondering if that option of getting another recruit for next season was still there or if that was just a McFarland & Stinnett deal. There are still some decent recruits that can be had for next season--or are we done for 07 recruiting?

ISU has used all its scholarships for '07. The only way to sign another player is if there is attrition of some sort. There was some talk of AT paying his own way next year but I really doubt that would happen.

We've filled our schollies for next year. To be fair, two of the guys we bring in next year could likely start in Brackins and possibly Garrett.

Do you think we will redshirt anyone next season, we get four new recruits and Alex Thompson being able to play and only Gray leaving?

I wouldn't be suprised if Boozer was redshirted.

Boozer should certainly redshirt as we will have plenty of guards and he should save a year of eligibility to grow and become stronger.
Staiger supposedly has "the" outside shot we've been looking for and Garrett looks like a ball handler from the video I've seen. And Garrett has the size (6 ft 4 in).
With those two, the guards we'll have will be plenty.
Dunson, McIntosh, Taylor, plus Currie and Jacobsen.
