If he transfers wouldn't he need to sit out a year and then I doubt that he would even get to play with Mayo because Mayo is most likely a "one and done" player.

They looked pretty not that good last night. That would be frustrating to get a glimpse of playing really well with him and then have him taken away right before the conference season. Oh well...

I think you have to be out of high school for a year before entering the NBA draft. I think he graduated in December, so he still would need one more year in college before entering the draft.
I am trying to remember if he came from prep school, but I don't think so. I'm not sure how that would affect draft status.

I think we'd be better off with him gone this year, because we'll have a lot more experience as a team next year.

Yes, he will meet the criteria of being out of high school for one year. He's NBA Draft eligible for this June's draft.
