KU fans can't understand all the booooing!

I was checking their scout message board (phog something).
They could not believe our crowd. They thought we booed every
call. There are countless threads on how much they hate hilton magic
and the constant booing. They can't remember ever booing in their
area.

Yeah, its pretty pathetic how they are dragging our team and Hilton through the mud over there, especially when a team of "nobodies" as they call us just took their "great" team to the wire. I stopped reading because it was infuriating.

I thought the crowd booed a lot, but they cheered a lot too. It was just and exciting and intense atmosphere, emotions were running high. You would think a Kansas fan, if anybody, would understand that.

But thats ok, I will hang out on cyclonefanatic instead, I like these people more

A link to the thread. Real KU fans probably aren't that bad, but the guys who post there have brains the collective size of a peanut.

Deep within the heart of Iowa, a storm is brewing...
... the winds of change ripple throughout the vast fields of corn surrounding the small college town of Ames.

The Gene Chizik era of football continues, and, with it, a renewed attitude of pride, determination, and success.

This is Cyclone Football.

I have to disagree - I just moved to Kansas and there is no doubt that real KU fans are just as bad. I am not looking forward to going back to work on Monday.

ISU fans aren't classless, they're just over-the-top homers who are clueless. Also, Ames is not a dump but it's no Cedar Rapids.
My response:

I get your meaning. Just still can't get over the fact that we're over-the-top when your basketball message boards are littered with threads about how much you hate ISU, things you like more than MU, and how the "Tarholes" got upset today.

I've been to Lawrence, and there is absolutely nothing to brag about.
I used to not mind KU that much until I visited their board after the game.
As for the booing, There wasn't any one particular play by the end, but I really got tired of ku going over the back to get their O-boards.

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

Ahh, whatever. Let them whine. I predict we will have a national basketball championship before they do. They always struggle when they get to the tournament and don't get preferential treatment from Bix XII refs. We will never have that problem to overcome.

GO CYCLONES!

How they think the officiating was in our favor is mind bogling.

Never mind just came up with the answer to my own question, they are so used to the way all the calls go their way at home.

My aunt and uncle live in Lawrence (neither are KU fans, though my aunt does work there.)... and I'd have to agree. On my few trips there, nothing is there that trumps what Ames has to offer.

Kansas and Iowa is the same crap. If someone is going to say Ames is a dump, atleast be from a respectible town yourself.

As for the booing, ALL home fans boo and overreact to calls. I've seen plenty of whine in "the phog."

I agree for the most part. There are certainly some very good fans but they do have a lot of arrogant fools. Most people seem to struggle to understand why I'm living in Kansas and not a KU fan.
