Cyclone Hockey sweeps Western Michigan

The Cyclones won their 6th straight game earlier today in thrilling fashion. Down 5-4 late in the third, Shane Mytnik burried the puck to tie it up. The game went through overtime and ended up in a shootout.

Senior Trent Baker was lights out and three freshmen lit the lamp in the shootout, with the Cyclones winning 3-2 in the shootout for an official score of 6-5. Goals in the shootout were scored by Adam Mueller, Mytnik, and Pete Majkozak who notched his 4th straight game winning goal.

Next week, the Cyclones are on the road against #1 Illinois. This is quite possibly the greatest rivalry in the ACHA. You can listen to the broadcast live on www.cyclonehockey.com. Just follow the links. Both games start at 7:30 on Friday and Saturday.

The #6 Cyclones are now 21-6-1.

Ooooh a shootout. What an exciting way to win. Those make for a good game for sure.

I wouldnt mind reading a matchup review for the next game. It seems to be a good one, and one I feel everyone could get excited for. Is the game home or away?
