This is rumor. I think the source is very credible, but I'm not sure. I almost didn't post this because I'm not 100% confident in the information, but what is this messgae board for anyway.

Regarding Dez Bryant and A.J. Penson from Lufkin HS in Lufkin, TX. (The only HS in Lufkin. Texas A&M QB Reggie McNeal came from there.)

I talked to a ISU grad friend who traveled to Lufkin on business on Tuesday. The subject of ISU Football came up and a Lufkin native said he thought Penson and Bryant might try to go to the same school and Iowa State was recruiting them both. Time will tell if this is credible.

I saw Dez Bryant play in the playoffs last years against powerhouse Southlake Carroll. Carroll won the game and the state title, but Bryant was a major force in that game. After the game I was visiting with Carroll's starting free safety, who played as a frosh at Rice this year. He told me Bryant was the strongest and most physical receiver he had played against. Coming from a young man who started at FS on consecutive Texas 5A title teams - I think that is saying something about Big Dez.
