Re: The results are in! Who's gonna be Super?

My two favorite NFL team are meeting in the superbowl!!! I love it!

My personal opinion: Rex Grossman will be the worst quarterback ever to win a superbowl, and Manning will be the best to never win one... I love irony

Bears 31 Colts 28

Thomas Jones lowers his shoulder and takes Sanders out. Urlacher crumbles Dallas Clark attempting to catch a pass...both ex-Iowa players miss out on a superbowl

You aren't a true Bears fan if you are predicting the ponies will win.

True fans can and should be realistic too. What do you have the clones winning the BCS next year????

Bears have been schizophrenic this year and I think it catchs up with us. But I'll also be rooting hard against my knee-jerk prediction!

I still think the Colts will win by 3 points. People are forgetting that their defense is becomming very good.

... becoming very good with one safety who honestly wont get on the field (Harper) with a high ankle sprain and the other starting safety, also a key to their new defense has a questionable knee.. theres no doubt he'll play, but you dont know how good that knee really is

I agree with this, they play different positions CB & S, but Ellis Hobbs is just as an effective NFL player, Bob Sanders and Dallas Clark are both WAY overhyped, Bob Sanders is very, very average yet I just hear commentators going off about him for no reason. He isn't even the best player in that secondary. And Dallas Clark can be replaced at any moment, why? because the guy before him was replacable - Marcus Pollard. Put ANY NFL tight end in there with Peyton Manning and their gonna thrive, its just like in the NBA where a stud player like a Steve Nash is gonna make people like Shawn Marion, Raja Bell, Leandro Barbosa - all look like all stars. Take Peyton Manning or Steve Nash outta there and their teammates are mediocre at the very best.

You must be thinking about the Bears' offense LAST year because this year it's been pretty good. Here are their stats:

YPG: 15th
Rush YPG: 15th
Pass YPG: 14th
Points: 2nd

The Bears scored the EXACT same points (427) as the Indianapolis Colts. Granted, the defense scored more points than average this year but their offense is far from bad.

Bob Sanders is pretty damn good. It isn't a coincidence that when the Colts went on their losing streak, Sanders was out with an injury.

Didn't Dallas Clark also miss a couple games during that stretch?

Dallas is a much bitter part of that offense than many will admit - even Colt fans.

I really love watching Dallas play.
