Parcells hangs it up, again
ESPN link
As a Cowboys fan, I liked Bill. He brought back the discipline that the Cowboys needed and made moves that put them in good position today yet better position down the road.
I think that's the thing I liked best - he balanced the win now attitude from Jerry with the putting Dallas in good shape for the future attitude. Often times guys at the end of their career will do anything to win - even if that means selling out on the future. Bill didn't do that in Dallas as some perceived he did in his past 2 jobs.
I wish he would've stuck around for '07. Not only to keep things rolling - but because I don't see available guys out there that knock my socks off.
I had really hoped he would be there in '07 and Jerry would then make a big run at Bill Cowher for '08. I'd be smiling from ear-to-ear if Bill Cowher were my team's coach.
So...now we'll see what happens in Big D. Add this to yet another question mark for the '07 season.
Re: Parcells hangs it up, again
Did anyone else see that Bill Parcells "I hate football, football sucks" story? Is that for real, or just a parody?
Re: Parcells hangs it up, again
No, I never heard a thing about it.

This could potentially help the Clones indirectly. I heard Houston Nutt's name mentioned this morning as a potential replacement. We are competing with Arkansas for a few recruits right now, Alex Cook, certainly wouldn't hurt our chances if the coach left the program.
