New Nascar Point System

So for any Nascar fan here what do you think of the new point system that will be used for the 2007 season.

• 400-point cutoff eliminated
• Top-12 drivers qualify
• Point totals adjusted to 5,000
• Drivers "seeded" by wins
• 10-point bonus for each win

I personally think that it will make drivers try harder for that win rather than trying to get a top 10 run in and playin it safe.

Good, something that might make some races more exciting to watch on TV.

Seems like an improvement. I still think wins should count for more than 10 points. Let these guys actually race for the win instead of the top 5.

Once the Chase starts, I don't think any "seeding" system is the best because the last 10 Chase races are pretty much the Nascar Playoffs with the drivers being so bunched together in points.

I'm looking forward to Daytona in a few weeks!
