Olberman and Patrick together again...
Right now on ESPN Radio. It is a beautiful thing, I miss listening to thier gentle loving banter. I miss the great old days of Sportscenter's Big Show with the two of them gazing longingly towards eachother, constantly trying to one up eachother but doing so with a bit of an understood mutual man crush.

Re: Olberman and Patrick together again...
Olberman's new show is horrible. He tries to be funny and talk about politics and he comes off like an idiot.

I like Countdown a lot but I'm guessing one's opinion of it probably has a lot to do with their political leanings.

Re: Olberman and Patrick together again...
How often is Patrick on Sportscenter these days? Seems like he is on the radio quite a bit.

Re: Olberman and Patrick together again...
I could never do radio unless it was about sports....why would olberman leave in the first place.....i remember back in the day when olberman and patrick did their thing and stuart scott was like the new guy

For the money and prestige of being more than sports.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Olberman and Patrick together again...
He originally left to be on the New fox sports stations. When that did not work he did not want to go back to sports center and tried his hat in the political talk. Since then Bill O'reilly destroys him in the ratings.

I loved SC back around 1997 when it was a rotation of Patrick, Olberman, Mayne, and Eisen, with some Linda Cohn thrown in there as well.

Olberman is on Patrick's show for an hour every day of the week. They call it the "Big Show". I usually listen to it at work when I can.

Re: Olberman and Patrick together again...
I think SportsCenter has really gone down the crapper. Back in the old days when you could get Bob Ley and Charlie Steiner hosting was the best. They actually showed highlights (gasp!) instead of Bud Light Hot Steats, Coors Light 6 Packs, and the like. The real nail in the coffin for me was when they started playing music during the highlights...wtf?
Oh, and Craig Kilborn was a personal favorite.

I love listening to Patrick. Well da*n you and 65 for not sharing. I usually have Bloomberg tuned in but decided to listen to DP today and was overrun with joy. First time I had listened to him in a year or more.
I expect to be kept informed from now on about things that I enjoy. You two can get together and make a list to keep me in the loop on my favorite things.
