Here's my picks for the North next season..and it's difficult
1. Nebraska
2. Colorado
3. Kansas State
4. Iowa State
5. Mizzou
6. Kansas
Nebraska has Clownahan (I stole that from someone on here) but still has the most talent. Colorado looked good at the end of the year and has the second best coach in the league (we have the best) and K-State seems on their way back. Anyone's thoughts?

I don't know how you can say we have the best when Chizik has yet to coach a single game as head coach.

You can't give a coach any real credit until they win with players they themselves brought in. Hawkins is unproven in the Big XII and will still be unproven after this year. Chizik will be coaching a bunch of players he did not bring in this next season. If we have an amazing year, half the credit still goes to the former staff.

Hard to say really. Any team could still win this division from my view. Our schedule will probably do us in ultimately, but I believe ISU will be in contention til the bitter end for the division. I'm guessing its another year where 4 teams will have a shot in the last 2 weeks. We will be one of those teams and our season wont be over at mid season like it was last fall.
1. Nebraska
2. Missouri
3. K-State
4. Iowa State
5. Colorado
6. Kansas

Schedule doesn't help things but even with an easier conference slate I wouldn't put us above 5th.

I would say this is about right. ISU just doesn't have the talent right now to compete. I hope I'm wrong but without a decent OL, it is next to impossible to have a good team.

not sure how it all shakes out, but I'm guessing that ISU has a rough year next year. They will likely finish close to the bottom. It just takes time to learn a new scheme, ect. Also, Chizik needs a couple of years of recruiting to infuse some talent in at key positions.

I really don't see how this team could do any worse. Offensively we should be improved(certainly not worse) and the defense didn't stop anybody last season anyway so how much worse could it get? It will be pretty bad if they can't squeeze out 5 wins atleast.

The Chiz has recruited some juco OL which will greatly determine the type of season we'll have. There are some OL that have been in the program for quite a while that have never stepped up. Mac eluded to this in the past. Its obvious who he was talking about, but whether Chiz can get anything out of them either is debatable.

Hope we are not too bad. The bball team is a longer project after losing five in a row, and if football turns out that way, it will be three years before we are excited. Callahan would be a better coach if he did not call his own plays.

The North will once again be mediocre next year. I think K-State and Colorado will be beatable at home next year. The only reason I have KU ahead of us is because we have them on the road, and our overall schedule is tough. I look for Colorado to be improved, but that's just a hunch. I'm still not sold on K-State, but by default they may go to another bowl game. I think Missouri and NU are the favorites, but neither will be great.
