Allen Bell headed to Iowa State

Iowa State gets a huge get, Allen Bell from Independence CC is coming to ISU, he will take a visit to Nebraska, but is committed, I would say this means Chris Weir is most likely coming with him!!!!! So we are up to 18!

Weir is a DT from Miami Beach, Florida, he had it down to us and TCU, he is like 6-3 275 according to Rivals, he would help out at DT, Bell also has three years to play, not sure about Weir

Great, currently he's 100% committed, but sounds like to him he can change his mind with a verbal.

yea but it sounds like he wants to start and he aint going to start at Nebraska, at least not as likely, with State he almost has a 80 percent shot if not more to start, considering the people he is competing with

I agree, it probably came down to where he was going to get the most PT and we definitely need the help at corner. Great size and speed combination, very exciting. Also great that he has 3 years left to play. Anyone know which coach was recruiting him, they must have done a great job to get him over ole miss and Nebraska!

I love Gene Chizik. Just think about the recruits we will be getting in a year or two, when he has time to recruit. Same with McDermott. JP got two A+'s in his two first coaching hires.

umm, Chizik is his third hire, Cael Sanderson, pretty damn good hires, all three, Cael has these guys goin strong, well prolly down to 4 football recruits or so left, if Weir does in fact follow Bell!

This is definitely a huge get, this guy is a much hotter commodity than Damilyn Tanner. Anybody have any news on how things are going with DE Alex Cook?
