Basketball Practice Facility?

I'm not getting why we need this. I'm not saying I'm opposed...but why can't the basketball and vollyball teams practice in Hilton?

1. Right now we would have to pay to rent Hilton although we are taking over management again

2. There are three teams, and only one court, that means you have to schedule around, most teams want to practice after class.

3. It is part of the arms race of college sports, want to compete on a big time level, got to have same facilities as big time programs.

4. It isn't just practice facilities, it is improved lockerrooms, office space, training rooms, etc. The training room in Hilton is like a closet.

Simply because this is the type of thing it takes to compete. When a recruit walks into our current facilities and then into Texas', who's he going to choose?

If you have ever been over to Forker, you know why we need this. I'm amazed at how well our coaches have recruited in the past with the facilities in place now.
