Re: Jacobson at UNI
You know UNI lost like somewhere between 60% to 70% of last years scorers due to graduation. When you consider that, they aren't having too bad a year. GMac's team is doing worse but I'll give him more of a handicap starting late in the recruiting process and losing so many players.
I'd love to have Eric Coleman down in Ames to help Jiri out. The guys a monster on the boards and has great hands.
The McCloud center is a great place to play basketball and a night and day difference in atmosphere from the UNI Dome. Long term it will give UNI much more of a home field advantage then they've had in the past. It also should be good for their recruiting and basketball program. It's no Hilton, but it's a louder atmosphere then you'd get at Carver Hawkeye.
Guys I wouldn't get too high on your horse about attendance numbers at UNI. I think it's a disgrace Hilton wasn't sold out this year for the Kansas game...

Re: Jacobson at UNI
I hate to jump in here, but, what does Hilton hold? A lot more than 7,000, that is for sure. Selling out the Mcleod center has to be a lot easier than selling out Hilton or carver.
I don't think it is far to beat on jacobsen just yet. The MVC looks pretty solid so far this year. In addition, UNI looked very good at the beginning of the year, and now has lost a few. Maybe the early wins have everyone expecting more than they should from UNI. The win over ISU sure isn't helping thier RPI rating.

Re: Jacobson at UNI
Jacobsen made everyone on that court better, because he caught so much attention. UNI's problem is they only have two scorers, Stout and Coleman. Josten, Veight, Brown and Cook are gonna get their 6 or 7 points, but that's it. They need that 3rd scorer and it has to be Brooks! He is not looking for shots the way he did against Iowa State.
