This guy is absolutely amazing. He is going to be a stud at the next level. His stats blow Oden out of the water.
Here are his averages:
Minutes: 33.5
Points: 24.4
Reb: 11.0
Steals: 1.4
Blocks: 1.8
FG%: 48.5%
FT%: 84.6%
3pt%: 36.9%
His scoring in the Big 12 is: 37, 34, 28, 37, 26, 34
Maybe his only knock is 3.0 turnovers per game.
This guy is as much of a complete player that I've seen in a long time. And he is a freshman.
Unbelievable.

Remember that Oden is still hampered by the lingering wrist injury and still has nice/comperable numbers. Is he still shooting freethrows lefty? That said I do agree that Durant is a stud. It will be fun to see who goes first and who's game transfers up to the next level better.

I still think Oden will go first because there is such a premium placed on big men in the NBA. Physically, people like him don't come around very often.
That being said, I think Durant will be a better NBA player.

Durant is possibly the most polished freshman to ever play college ball. He's the leader of that team, and longer and more athletic than McGrady...and the scary thing is, apparently he likes the college life so much he's thinking about staying next year

They are both awesome. Oden is injured and basically plays the game with his left hand even though he is right handed. It will actaully help his game in the long run. Durant is flawless though. Either one would be a great pick.
It's one of those who would you pick? Dwayne wade or Labron James. Either will do wonders for your team.

Durant is a phenom! Best player in the Country! Oden is doing some pretty amazing things with a lame shooting hand. I think Durant wins Freshman of the year and player of the year. Durant then goes pro and is the #1 player in the draft. I think Oden comes back for at least 1 more year but I wouldn't be surprised to see him play all 4 years of college ball. The guy loves college life and is passionate about getting his degree. At least he was in the special that I saw on him.

Actually that is a positive stat as he doesn't have the Early-Season-Jiri mindset.

Neither Durant or Oden would be in college this year if not for the new NBA rule. Neither Durant or Oden will be in college next year. Those of you thinking otherwise are crazy...Oden staying at OSU 4 years?! Come on!!
Barring injury, they are going to be selected 1 and 2 in the draft (not sure which will be first) and both will be the benefactors of "life altering money" for themselves and their families.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

Hey, you can always come back and get the degree after a 10-15 year pro career where you made several hundred million in contract salary and endorsements...Jordan did it. Heck, Shaq did it via correspondence course while still in the league.

Wish the Texas game was at Hilton this year so we could see this kid play in person.

Durant is better than Oden. I saw a stat the other day that 68% of Greg Oden's points were scored on dunks so as far as an all around game, I got with Durant.

Not saying the guy isn't bright, but I believe he has to squint when walking around campus during a full moon.
