There were four three star OL recruits in the class of '06. They are still on the roster - Hulbert, Rubin, Tibbs and Vargas - who, if still here, will be 2 sophs and 2 seniors next year, absent red shirt. Does anyone have info whether we can expect contribution from these men next season?

Rubin starts on the defensive line. Hulbert and Vargas redshirted last year so are still freshmen. Vargas has good size, but Hulbert doesn't really have the mass yet. Tibbs may start as he played some last year.
I just seemed to me that if the stars system has validity, that those four ought to have the same potential as the JC OL commits we have this year. If even close, we'll be in good shape with now 7 3 star non-frosh linemen, not counting any others.

I don't know nothin' bout stars, but, if last years class had anyone that was good enough to contribute, then they would have been playing. The OL on the field last year was a train wreck.
I think all is up for grabs right now. Who knows how these JUCO players shape up for us. Maybe none of them from 06 contribute in anyway. Or maybe the all do.
Rubin does seem like a good bet for starting or at least good playing time for this next year.
