Did anyone catch the press conference with the two guys they arrested? They would only answer questions pertaining to hairstyles of the 1970's. I guess they were laughing throughout their entire arraignment. Sounds about right to me. It's absolutely ridiculous that they're even being charged. If they go to jail, then there is something very wrong with this country.

There is a link to that interview in my original post.

The fact that people saw Lite Brights and freaked out about "bombs" shows exactly how sad this country has become.

Everyone is living in fear of the boogeymen "terrah-rists." We live in a police state that thrives by keeping people afraid, and its working. This is very sad and I think these two guys did a very good job making that very evident, even though that was not their intent.

Not that I don't disagree that this is kinda dumb - that they're being charged.

But having contempt for a court of law is a pretty stupid and disrespectful thing to do. Stand there, state your case and let that show how dumb this is. Don't give a DA with a bug up his/her butt a reason to find something else to throw at you (tresspassing, obscenity, etc)

I do like the picture of the guy who looks like he's vying for Bob Marley's illegitimate son.

I was there when they crucified my Lord
I held the scabbard when the soldier drew his sword
I threw the dice when they pierced his side
But I've seen love conquer the great divide

Re: Boston Bomb Scare

Problem is two fold now.

1) OBL and his cronies are sitting back, watching CNN, and laughing their a$$es off. They're getting EXACTLY what they wanted.

2) This whole episode just gave every terrorist and terrorist wannabe a million ideas of how to pull the next gimmick plot. Episodes like this and every other little false alarm are trial grounds for plotters.

Problem is, authorities are in a damned if they do, damned if they don't situation. Sure it looks harmless enough. And American society is well over the edge and panicy at every car exhaust backfire.

But remember how crucified authorties were post 9/11 when we had 20/20 hindsight and lamblasted them for doing nothing. Imagine if a copycat came along and one of these things were legit? Then everybody here would be screaming about how "we're no safer" blah, blah, blah. Were those flight school students so out of the ordinary? Was that Ryder truck in front of the Ok City Fed building so misplaced? Pretty easy from a computer screen to second guess.

It's dumb today, sure enough. Was it then and will it be next time around?

I threw the dice when they pierced his side

It's almost too scary to be funny. But, it definitely is funny.

Looks like they about have a deal with TBS to pay off the balance and they have been negociating with the 2 artist's lawyers to drop the charges.

I'm moved to Boston 4 weeks ago and if you think it's a big deal in Iowa . . . I didn't know how stupid people were here until this week.
