As a life-long Bears fan, this news makes my day as well!

Although the Packers were better this year than the past few seasons, I still don't think they will contend for the North next year.

I have to offer a rebuttal

Favre is 22-8 against the Bears, most wins of any QB against a single NFL team in the history of the NFL.

Can't see why it would make you happy he is back.

Anyways, I hope the bears do win it for the NFC, and I hope the pack can put up a good battle for the North crown next season.

I'm a pack fan as well. Can't be happier! I have never seen him play live, and the packers are @ the chiefs next year, so my dream will come true!!

You are right but what is his record against the Bears over the past 3 or 4 years since being past his prime? That's why I'm happy.

In his prime, he owned the Bears...thank god that's over.

I love this talk of how Brett in his prime compared to Brett now - and how that relates to differences in the W/L columns.

Brett isn't the same QB as he was in the past. Yet there is a huge disparity between his surrounding cast today compared to what it was. Running backs picked up off the street, receivers changing constantly. Oh, and don't forget that horrid defense.

While Brett is out of his prime, the Packers as a whole are way past their prime right now.

Rumor has it that the Packers are looking for a new Center that's high enough off the ground to fit Favre's walker under it, is this true?

Just kidding!

If he only had a better line and receiving corp, he'd still be putting up very impressive numbers.

yeah, i knew I was setting myself up for that comeback

I had to check for myself,

Since 2003 he is 4-4 vs the bears
Since 2005 he is 1-3 vs the bears

Bears had a 3 game winning streak coming into the last game of this season.

Packers have the youngest NFL team with the oldest starting qb. I just hope they can make the NFC north more competative next season and hopefully make the playoffs.

In the late 90's everyone owned the Bears

I do hope they kick some tail Sunday though!
