Jiri & Greg
I've really enjoyed watching this relationship grow from what seemed to be a sour one to one of great respect on both sides.
Yesterday a friend and I were lucky enough to score seats 3 rows up basically at mid-court - on the bench side. It's not like there were many people at the game.
But anyways, Jiri got popped in the mouth twice - rather hard on one occasion. Immediately we could tell he was drinking a lot of blood and finally it got bad enough that he had to come out. But not before he scored a nice basket - bloody mouth and all.
When he came out, while walking to the bench Greg gave him a big smile/smirk, didn't say a word and just tapped him on the back - as if to say "Now you're playing my kind of ball, kid".
I couldn't stop laughing.
Jiri had major guts yesterday and didn't back down to a physical game inside. I think it only fueled his fire.
And Greg seemed to have a lot of fun yesterday coaching the game - with exception to late in the 2nd half when we let Baylor creep back into the game.
I can't wait to see what Jiri will be like in his senior season after another off-season with G-Mac.

Re: Jiri & Greg
Greg has turned Jiri into a very good player, he is going for tough rebounds, he is fighting inside, I don't see any way that Jiri does not start next year after how much he has done this year. Alex and Craig will wait, they will get their minutes, one might even start at the 4, but neither will be the 5. Jiri is the reason this team can even almost win a game, without that guy inside, we would be nowhere right now!

Re: Jiri & Greg
Jared Homan would be a great player for McD as he was for LE.
