I can't wait to see how Clark does guarding Durant. A & M had there top defensive player guarding Durant and he had 3 quick fouls and spent a considerable amount of time on the bench. Hopefully Clark can do better!

I am sure that Rick Barnes is trying to enjoy the hell out of coaching Durant this season because he may never get to coach a player like this again.
The sports radio guys were hammering Barnes because for the last shot against KSU he told whoever was open to shoot instead of going for Durant. They were wondering if that was what $2 mill a year will get you.
I think Gillespie might be the best coach in the conference right now. Not a bad 48 hours...
The way A&M wins reminds me of our team in 99-00 with Tinsley, Fizer, Horton, Johnson, and Nurse. Bunch of gritty players giving their all and playing as a TEAM with a purpose.
This could probably be a new thread because I thought the same, especially the way they beat Kansas - eerily similar to ISU's breakthrough win at KU that year. A&M is able to beat teams at any style - they can play physical with good defense and rebounding, but then (just like we did against UCLA in the Sweet 16 that year) they can outrun and outplay a team like they did with Texas. I would bet all of the "experts" would have said if UT scores 82 points on A&M that they would win. Instead, A&M handed it to them with two starters fouled out for the last 6 minutes of the game.
Unfortunately, I think A&M will get similar disrespect and receive a two-seed regardless if they win the Big 12 season and conference tourney, unless two of the top 5 slump (Fla, UCLA, Wiscy, UNC, and OSU). Going further, I am also guessing that they will be matched in the same region as Florida (South), with OSU being sent out west to UCLA's bracket. Wisconsin will be #1 in the Midwest and UNC #1 in the East. The good part for A&M if that happens is that they would get to play close to home (San Antonio) in the Regional semis and finals, unlike what we did in having to go to Detroit and play MSU in their backyard.
