    Cyclone Recruiting on KXNO today

    I will be having ISU Offensive Coordinator Rob McFarland on my show at 3pm. Marty and Miller will have Coach Chizik on around 4:30. You can listen at 1460 on your radio dial, or www.kxno.com on the web.

    Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

    ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

    the intro into Coach McFarland's spot was NOT intentional. It was a taped segment, and the bumpers that we have coming into top of the hour spots are automated...when it played, I looked at Cory and was like what the (*&^?

    Not intentional.

    Interesting comments from McFarland. One that stuck out for me was he stated that the last few days the the staff has been focusing the majority of its time on recruiting H.S. juniors for next years class.

    Edit: He also just added that you would not believe how many juniors have been contacted the last 48 hours and how many offers have been extended.

    I had a sick feeling in my stomach actually when that fired up. I might be a lot of things, and I have taken shots at ISU in the past and dont deny it, but I am not disrespectul to where I would do that intentionally.

    He seems like a good guy...I am looking forward to seeing his offense this spring
