Nice win for the men's us soccer team

US just beat Mexico 2 - 0
I'm impressed with their defense, and that's without Onyewu. I think the pairing of Onyewu and Conrad in the middle will be solid

Yeah, that was a nice win, especially since Mexico had almost all of their last World Cup team and the US had a lot of their guys too.

Once again, they're left whining about how they played well enough to win but leaving with a 2-0 loss. How many of those will it take for them to finally get it?

I thought Conrad really played great both ways. It would be nice to convince Donovan he's playing against Mexico in every international game.

I don't know much about soccer, but I live down here in Phoenix. The game was a sellout. 60,000 fans. I think it had a lot to do with the large Mexican population down here, but that's still pretty impressive.

Jimmy Conrad didn't even get offered a scholarship in college, he walked on and made himself a player, that is impressive. He and Onyewu will be solid. I'm surprised Mapp didn't get any action last night after his last performance. Hopefully Landon Donovan has turned a page and will start to live up to his potential.

Landon didn't look real good. He still has his burst of speed like when he got the ball deflected to him, but he didn't make enough runs. I was kinda expecting more from him. I think Bornstein look good with his runs on the left flank
