Anybody listening to 104.1??

I am letting my class listen to the radio while they do keyboarding stuff right now and the "Mock-Yeah! ing-Yeah!, Bird-Yeah!" song just came on. I didn't realize how huge the generation gap was until I asked who had seen "Dumb and Dumber" and was met with about half blank looks and half "I can't believe he just called us dumb" looks. How sad, everyone should see that one by the 4th grade or so!

Even sadder was that everybody was singing along to every word of "Had a bad day" by some Daniel guy that I was the only one not to know who sang. I offered up some extra credit for anybody to name the person who sang "Wanted Dead or Alive" and got nothing. I feel like an old fart.

that is truly sad when our youth have not experianced the Dumb and Dumber party scene where Carrey get whacked in the quads with the cane ... classic

Bon Jovi reminds me of the 80's and the thread for the best 80's songs.
I declined to particpate in that threaad, because I'd still be posting monster ballads from hair bands!

I'm old, too then. What's funny to me (I work with teens) is when I hear a song on the radio with them that is a remake of a song. They have no idea that the song was done in the 80's or something, and would wrinkle up their nose if they heard the same song on my radio station! I had the hardest time convincing a kid that Disturbed's "Land of Confusion" was an 80's song! (And wasn't a song penned by Disturbed)

Ahhh...Dumb and Dumber, what a solid movie. I haven't seen a better comedy since.

Two of my friends made them over the course of a couple weeks. They took a lot of time and the Brokeback Mountain one was even listed on Rolling Stones top 25 videos online for the year a few months back. They are all clips taken from dumb and dumber.
