Todd Blythe's Quote about Offseason Conditioning
The following is from the 02/08/07 Sports Section of the Ames Tribune:
MEN AT WORK. Offseason workouts under new strength and conditioning coach Ken Sheppard have been challenging, to say the least.
Weight lifting and conditioning sessions have pushed Cyclone players to their limits.
"It's been tough. It is a little different than what we are use to," receiver Todd Blythe said. "It's all high intensity. We are getting after it. Guys have been puking and stuff like that, but it's been real good for us."

Sounds more like a towers party my freshman year than conditioning. I love that quote.

Intensity is learned! this is great- come next season. We definitely lacked that last year.

Sounds like Bear Bryant stuff, love it.

Man I love to hear this... there have been threads that talk about "swagger" and intensity.... I truly believe the players going on runs in february, in the dark, working out until puking, will help them come august with a new toughness, and hopefully some swagger, that they didn't have in seasons past.
