Valentine's Day coming up guys???

I just went on Proflowers.com and ordered flowers for my wife for Valentines Day. They were about half the cost of the local flower stores I checked out. It only took about 5 minutes to order them. Don't forget about your significant other and man this was sure easy.

Thanks for the headsup. Yesterday in the Des Moines Register there was an event listed for last night at a local store teaching "How to do a Striptease for Valentines Day" Mentioned it to my wife....really bad idea on my part

I just can't bring myself to do the flowers thing...way to cliche if you ask me.

Which sucks because now I have to think of something else to give.

I refuse to buy any flowers on valentines day.......I told my fiance and she agrees its more fun to get sparactic surprise flowers throughout the year that aren't overpriced

Do you have lots of pictures of the two of you, cyworld? You could put together a photo album of the two of you, and I can guarantee it would mean the world to her. If you're okay with it, you could write her a poem and frame it (although that's a little cliche, too).

I get my wife gift certificates for massages. $25 bucks for a full hour at the college of natural health in Ankeny. She loves those, hates roses, so it works fine.

You know, when a hurricane hits and gas prices triple, there is a Congressional investigation and people are prosecuted for price gouging. When the middle of February rolls around and the prices of roses triple and we all go out and buy them like suckers, we call it a holiday. Where is the investigation? Where is the outrage? And where is the holiday on the other end of the spectrum where the lady takes me out for steak, buys me a case of beer (the price of which has tripled for the week) and then lets me sit on the couch all day and watch ESPN? I demand justice!

That seems like a lot of work. Who do you think I am Angie...Superman?

How's this for a poem:

I like you.
I hope you like me too.
You have a purdy face.
I would give it a ribbon for 1st place.
Because you always have to get your way.
I wrote this poem for you on Valentine's Day.

That's about the extent of my poetry skills.

LOL - you may have a little bit bigger hole there to try and dig out of.

Depending on how much money you want to spend... Do you have kids? You could get her some time at a spa (do you live in DSM? I know there are several there), and offer to take the kids to a park or museum or something. That might make up some ground...
