I am only able to catch the live updates on Cyclones.com, so I don't know specifics. According to the updates, Mitch Mueller lost due to an injury default. Can anyone hear or see the match that knows more on the injury?
Score currently... ISU 31/Rider 6.

Either dislocated or fractured his elbow, I believe. They "quick-casted" it right on the mat and walked him off. He might be done for the year. I sure hope not.

I was at the meet, he dislocated his elbow, hopefully he can come back but I've been in that situation before and he might be done for the season.

Well Mitch is at least going to not be able to wrestle Sunday against Missouri. I was looking through the roster and it seemed like we are going to lose a lot with who ever we are going to put there. There are Johnathan Scott and T.J. Sebolt but they are both true freshman and if Mitch is only going to be down a short time I dont see ending their red-shirt season to wrestle these last few meets.
The only one that I see as probable of those that are listed at 141 is RFr Joey Demarie because I know RFr Erik Johansen from high school and I have heard that he is not on the team anymore. Demarie had a 5-10 record wrestling unattached during his red-shirted season.
The only other option that I see is that they could also have someone from 133 bump up to fill the spot and the only one listed there is the RFr. Laramie Shaffer. Shaffer had a 5-5 wrestling unattached during his redshirt season. But I also heard from a friend of mine that was at the wrestling meet that worked with him this past summer that said that he had been kicked off the team for sometime earlier this season but it seems like he is back on the team now because he was with the team last night.
Does anyone else know anything about how may be able to fill the spot at 141 because even if Mitch only had a dislocated elbow he would most likely be out at least for the Missouri match on Sunday.
