Yeah I knew that one was a little stretch...nonetheless, he'd only be a cannibal if you considered Cornhuskers as people

“I’m just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard,” Eustachy joked. “If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, he’ll be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.”

Re: Wes Eikmeier scores 38

Maybe if some recruiting service gave him 4 stars everyone would be all giddy. Never mind that our coach, who's actually seen him play, saw enough to offer him a scholarship before his junior year.

As far as the comparisons to Zach and Brock, how many scholarship offers did they have before their junior years?

There's a storm brewin', and it's named Cyclone Gene.

Wes is quite a bit taller than Brock.

Re: Wes Eikmeier scores 38

It may be possible that Mac sees a bit of Ben Jacobsen (the player) in Wes. Ben was a decent athlete, but skinny when he came out of Sioux City. He redshirted, got stronger, and was a damn fine player, who could have played in the Big 12. If that is the case, then we will like this kid a lot.

Re: Wes Eikmeier scores 38

FWIW, Wes played at the ISU elite camp last summer, where he would have competed against other "elite" competition. I'm sure they wouldn't have offered him if they didn't see something.

From hat I have seen, Wes is quicker than Brock and a better defender after watchinmg a game of his. If Wes plays like Brock, he will ride the bench. I think he will do better than that.

260lbs at 7'2 is too light. We'd need him to bulk up.
