Pro-Bowl Punter JACKED UP!!!
Now let me get started by saying that watching the Pro Bowl is like watching a show on the Food Network for me, so I didn't watch it. However, I heard on the radio that the AFC ran a fake punt and the punter got DRILLED.
Here is a clip:

wow, what a hit. makes you wonder though, with that kind of hit, and brees getting hurt pretty bad, if the pro bowl is worth playing. I would hate to see a player from my favorite team tear an acl or something in an all star game and not be able to play for a while.

Re: Pro-Bowl Punter JACKED UP!!!
I was watching the game when that happened. The hit definitely caught my attention.
That's the type of hit you see in the playoffs when it's short yardage and the defense desperately needs a stop. Not the Pro Bowl.
I especially loved the punter going out of his way to congratulate Taylor for de-cleating hit.

Re: Pro-Bowl Punter JACKED UP!!!
Isn't there a rule that you can't rush on kick attempts or can't block kicks in the Pro Bowl? Or is that just for college all-star games? If you can't block kicks, it seems pretty low to run a fake kick. The kicker/punter takes whatever they get in these plays and shouldn't complain at all.

Re: Pro-Bowl Punter JACKED UP!!!
You can do a normal rush for a kickoff in the pros. You just can 't blitz on D and the safeties have to play inside the tackles to start the play.
You have to give credit to the punter though, he got up right away.

Don't hate on the punter - he took it like a man. The coaches should have to run those plays with thier own punters though ... what kind of crap is that risking another teams pro-bowl caliber punter on a fake in the pro-bowl?
I'd scrape the whole game, no one cares, and there is too much potential for injury to the stars. Better yet, make it 2-hand touch.

Use proper punctuation so I don't have to make myself dizzy reading it 3 times and sorting out your typing to find out if I agree with what your saying.. -

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I will work on that.

It won't be long before an NFL or major college player is killed with one of the helmet to helmet hits. I rarely see the penalty called. (I know this wasn't a helmet to helmet hit, but he lead with his helmet and not his shoulder.)

Re: Pro-Bowl Punter JACKED UP!!!
Thats an incrediable hit! But I would have to say that it would be stupid to injure someone or get injured in the Pro Bowl. I understand the season is over but now you have to keep look at next year.

Re: Pro-Bowl Punter JACKED UP!!!
If I was Moorman, I would have walked to the bench and kicked Belichick in the nuts for calling that play in the first place. It's the Pro Bowl, and you're just asking for someone to get destroyed with that call.
I think they should scrap the game, but still "select" players to the Pro Bowl. It's a great honor, but no one cares about the game.

Just imagine if Brees dislocated his throwing elbow instead of the off one - the probowl is ok if you don't have defensive players with their heads up their *****, ala Suggs and moron d-back that's constantly in legal trouble that hit the punter.
