My uneducated conference rankings
Here are my conference rankings at this point. I did little to no research, so don't think I know what I'm talking about. 1) Pac 10. Yes, the Pac 10. With 6 of the 10 teams being ranked and USC and Stanford being red hot, almost every game in this conference has the big dance feel to it. 2) SEC. The east side is looking scary whereas the West isn't so bad. Either way, most of these teams losses come from beating each other up. No team has an overall losing record. 3) ACC. Obviously this conference is down, but there are still 9 teams with potential tourney births. I think 6 teams will get in. Those 9 teams all have a decent shot of getting 20 wins as well. 4) Big 12. Texas A&M and KU are final four contenders....OSU and Texas are sweet 16 contenders...OU and KSU are good bubble teams and if Tech gets hot, their wins over A&M and KU will get them in. This conference also has the best place to play ever (Hilton) :) 5) Big East. this is the lowest I've seen this conference in a long time. I think 5-6 teams still get in, but only 3-4 have a chance of making any noise. UCONN is the biggest surprise here being close to the bottom. 6) MVC - This conference has had the biggest burst of excitement in the last 5 years. To me they are on equal playing field as most other conferences in terms of quality teams and talent. Only two teams have a losing record and I think 3 team s will get in. 7) Big 10 - You may be thinking why is the big 10 so low? Well this conference includes this team called the Hawkeyes which would bring any conference down a couple notches.....unless you're a badger or a buckeye you're a one and done or worthless Other predictions: #1 seeds: UNC, UCLA, Ohio State, Florida Biggest bust in the tourney: Alabama Biggest surprise: Winthrop (only lost to UNC, Texas A&M, Wisconsin and Maryland) What are some other predictions you all have? Remember that stressed spelled backwards is desserts!

I'll also add #2 seeds being Texas A&M, Wisonsin, Pittsburgh, Washington State.

I agree with UCLA, but UNC and FLA will be lucky to get #2s. FLA is going to falter in the home stretch. They will still be great in the tourney but they will lose the #1 seed that is theirs for the taking.
OSU wont even get a #2 unless they win their conference tournament, which they wont beat Wisconsin.
I say #1s are Kansas, Texas A&M, UCLA and Wisconsin.

I say #1s are Kansas, Texas A&M, UCLA and Wisconsin. And you would be wrong. How can the unanimous #1 team be lucky to be a 2 seed. Please explain the logic there. Kansas is to streaky to be a 1 seed.
1 seeds. UNC, FL, Wisconsin, and UCLA
2 seeds. Ohio St, Texas A&M, Kansas, G-town

Re: My uneducated conference rankings
They can lose 2 more games and still only have 4 losses and be a one seed. I guess my question is this.... How can a team be lucky to be a 2 seed when they have to lose 3 to 4 more games the rest of the year to fall out of that spot?? They have only lost 2 games all year and have the best lineup in the country, not to mention the most veteran. Remember their whole team is back from their championship team

Re: My uneducated conference rankings
i didnt say they will lose 2 more...that is you talking. i said they are going to falter in the home stretch. i didnt put a number on it, but in my opinion they are going to lose enough games that they will be lucky to make a #2 seed. i know the stats about returning starters, defending champs, whatever...im stating my opnion... i think they will lose their #1 seed before selection sunday.

Re: My uneducated conference rankings
you didn't have to put a number on it. Common sense puts a number on it. Do you want to make a bet right now that not only will Florida be a #1 seed, but the highest ranked #1 seed?!?! This is coming from someone who hates Billy Donovan and the Gators. They are that talented and won't falter. Do you realize how big of a falter that is?!? Especially after the butt kicking Pitt took tonight. Just one more team that is not going to jump over Florida

In our 1999-2000 season, Iowa State was 29-4 with a 14-2 and big 12 tourney title going into the big dance....and WE didn't even get a 1 seed.....obviously the media loves florida so they would have to lose at least two more times to drop in my opinion.....but point being....who knows what the hell will happen!

Re: My uneducated conference rankings
we also came out of nowhere to most that year. Florida is the defending national champ. They have been on everybody's radar.
If you want to go back to that year. Mich St lost 7 games and was a 1 seed. I rest my case

Re: My uneducated conference rankings
And dinger don't get mad b/c your point had no logic or reason behind it. Leaving me negative rep points b/c I showed your relative lack of knowledge is kind of childish dont you think

Re: My uneducated conference rankings
payback bud...dont pretend my neg rep didnt come from you. i dont give neg rep until someone (you) gives me some for stating my opinion.
and obviously you arent "resting your case"...youre still talking

Rest what case? I don't see what point you're trying to make....all I said was sometimes the selection committee throws curveballs at everyone....UF will probably get a 1 seed unless they have a collapse or lose a couple lopsided games.
