Return of "Lesser of Two Evils"

It's back. Probably not better than ever - but it's back regardless.

So to review the "rules"....

Sometimes Lesser of Two Evils will be sports and/or ISU related and sometimes not. Each time though, it can be found in the Off-Topic section. I'll include a poll with it as well, just two choices.

Lesser of Two Evils forces you to choose between two bad scenarios - picking which one is better and if you choose to discuss - make your case for why your chosen bad scenario is better than the other. Ya gotta pick one.

So, here is the newest Lesser of Two Evils....

Cyclone fans have often times endured some special teams blunders. The latest and some of the worst being the kicking woes. Yeah, that's where this one is heading...

ISU is down 2 with just a couple seconds left on the clock. Biggest game of the year, of course. Ball is on the opponent's 8 yard line and it's fourth down. The field goal unit is lined up and ready for the winning kick...

Which scenario is better.....

- The snap, the hold...kick is up...it's....NO GOOD! Another missed kick and opportunity for ISU.

or

- The snap...the hold - no...the ball is dropped! Holder recovers, running right...throws for the end zone......INTERCEPTED!

without a doubt the 2nd one..with all the missed kicks and blown opportunities we've had the last 5 years or so, i dont think i could stand to see another.

Well, if your last name is Culbertson and you also have the nickname of "Shaggy", then option number 2 is the best because it is no longer your fault directly. Same affect losing a scoring opportunity, but this one will be blamed on the snapper or holder, not your kicking.......;)

If I see a missed field goal to win a HUGE game, I may just give up.

True, plus as an added bonus, with the second one you would have time to either cover your eyes before it unfolded or sprint out of the stadium screaming like you just walked in on your parents during maritals. (um, yeah, uhh...never happened to me but you could imagine if it did!) In the first scenario you have to watch until they signal no good.

This is painful, just like choosing to be kicked in the left one or the right one.

Damn, I voted before I read that there were only a couple ticks left on the clock... Oh well, my reasoning WAS that if we missed the fg, at least they couldn't run it back on us...

I picked the first one because in the second one I have hope, have said hope crushed, have another glimmer of hope only to have it crushed again. That seems twice as bad.
